HEre is an image I took when the ANF descended onto Parliament HOuse here in Canberra to Lobby and schmooze etc Mark Butler MP.
Brenda was absolutely gorgeous and had the best smile in the whole APH foyer so I had to post this shot to show what a TRUE Nurse looks like after a career of caring that never really ends,

Just a few candid images I made a few months back at Parliament house here in Canberra Australia for the Department of Innovation,

As you can see here I do like the “dutch” tilt as it is known when it comes to this style of work,

fills the frame nicely and gives it a nice edge.

An Apple a Day…. I am really into Bananas (photography?) at present…. but Apple photography is good too!

It might be the fact that Bananas are very expensive but they are just so good—– Sorry this is not quite Photographic content, I became sidetracked for a second there :)

I recently did some work for a Canberra Gov Agency and their learning program— was a really good couple of days — the team at hand were great! And I hope to work with them again soon,  hope you like these three Chris Canhamism style images I like to shoot the Camera from the hip like an olden day western – gun slinger then whack the photos into post and see what comes up. Photography can get to you hahah I mean– get to a point where you can make your shots after a really quick assessment of light and frame etc and then work them further from there,

I Use CS5  (shoot RAW) and then us the  Raw dialog box (am absolutely hooked on and have been for a number of years) for my post work.

Will tell you more about that as things go on,

We have the privilege of working rather heavily in the Indigenous sector here in Canberra and Indigenous politics, affairs and empowerment related issues are a political passion of mine. So always feel lucky when I get the chance to photograph and capture in image the true owners of the land we inhabit, to pay your respects to the traditional owners of the land is one thing, but I find “traditional” to be an interesting word– I prefer to use ‘true’ owners of the land we inhabit, the truth be known that it is my belief that for the rightful owners of Australia to perpetually rise to a place where true empowerment through all of political, living standard and respect from the powers that be; will come from within. Indigenous Prime Minister anyone?

After a Mad dash at the start, things settled into a lovely morning endeavouraround Lake Burley Griffin to raise awareness for Australias 2011 Donatelife week Campaign. followed by a cooked breakfast a great time was had by all.

What does the bumper sticker say? “Don’t take your organs to heaven, Heavens Knows we need them here!” good stuff.
